Army organises lifesaving blood donation camp in Uri

June 14, 2025 | BK News Service

Dagger Warriors under the aegis of Chinar Corps successfully organised a blood donation camp in Uri, on 13 June 2025. The initiative was aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation in a region that critically lacks a functional blood bank and often struggles with blood availability in emergency medical situations.
A total of 98 donors, including serving Army personnel, local civilians, students, and teachers, voluntarily came forward to contribute to this noble cause. The event was conducted under professional medical supervision, with appropriate precautions and post-donation care provided to all participants.
The overwhelming response highlighted the deep-rooted trust and camaraderie between the armed forces and the local population. More than just a medical drive, the event stood as a beacon of unity, sacrifice, and shared responsibility for societal well-being.
This initiative by the Indian Army reinforces its role not just as a guardian of borders, but as a pillar of hope and humanitarian support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
