Army’s Dagger Division organisess Women’s Cycling Rally

Noor-E-Raftar 2023, a Women’s Cycling Rally was flagged off from Shaukat Ali Stadium, Baramulla today. The third edition of this annual event was organised by Dagger Division and was marked by enthusiastic participation by girls from Baramulla district. A total of 75 women cyclists undertook the cycling rally and cycled all the way from Baramulla to Kaman Aman Post, Uri covering a dist of 75 kms in the arduos terrain of Jammu & Kashmir.
The cycle rally culminated at Kaman Post and evoked exuberant response from the participants and locals alike. Senior military & civilian dignitaries graced the occasion with their presence.
The event symbolizes close integration of Indian Army with the locals and underlines its efforts towards women empowerment. The cyclists vowed to return again next year in bigger numbers, to further the deep bond forged with Kashmir & Indian Army.
5Prizes were given in two age categories and the winner in Under 16 years category was Sania Rashid while Mehak Mustakh won in the category of age above 16 years.
