ARPS students get health screening

September 05, 2026 | BK NEWS SERVICE

Chieswema, Sep 4: Assam Rifles conducted an Annual Health Screening and Medical Check-up for students of Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Chieswema, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote preventive healthcare and healthy living among young students.

The medical initiative benefited 45 students, who underwent health assessments aimed at identifying potential health concerns at an early stage and ensuring timely attention wherever required.
During the screening, medical personnel assessed the overall health of the students and provided guidance on preventive healthcare practices. Special emphasis was placed on maintaining personal hygiene, adopting nutritious eating habits and following healthy lifestyle routines.
The initiative also sought to create greater health awareness among students by encouraging them to take an active role in looking after their physical well-being. Early health screening can help identify concerns that may otherwise go unnoticed and enable appropriate medical advice at the right time.
Students were sensitised about the importance of cleanliness, balanced nutrition and regular healthy habits. The interaction also provided an opportunity for them to seek guidance on everyday health-related concerns.
The programme reflected Assam Rifles’ broader emphasis on community-oriented initiatives, particularly those aimed at supporting the welfare and development of children and young people.
By combining medical screening with health education, the initiative sought to strengthen preventive healthcare practices among students and encourage a culture of wellness within the school community.
The annual programme at ARPS Chieswema underscores the importance of regular health monitoring and awareness in ensuring that students remain healthy, active and better equipped to focus on their education and overall development.
