Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the upcoming Prakash Purab celebration, marking the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Singh Ji on June 12, 2025. The meeting focused on ensuring seamless festivities, particularly at Gurdwara Chattipadshi Rainawari, where a large gathering is expected.
Traffic and Parking: DC instructed officials to ensure hassle-free traffic and parking arrangements.
Power and Water Supply: Uninterrupted power and water supply will be maintained.
Sanitation: SMC authorities will ensure proper sanitation measures and tackle the stray dog issue around the Gurdwara.
Transportation: Adequate buses will be made available for devotees.
Health and Safety: Health, Food Safety, Fire & Emergency, and other departments will ensure all necessary measures.
The DC directed officers to make foolproof arrangements, facilitating the Sikh community to celebrate the festival with devotion. Members of the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee briefed the DC on requirements, including traffic, parking, health facilities, security, and cleanliness [1].
