Manipur, Oct 20: On October 17, 28 personnel, including young officers from the Assam Regiment, supported by Sector Headquarters Assam Rifles, conducted a special outreach program in Churachandpur, Manipur. The event brought together veterans of the 1965 and 1971 wars, providing an opportunity to honor their service and sacrifices.

The interaction focused on preserving the legacy and history of the regiment while reinforcing the values of unity, camaraderie, and regimental pride under the motto “Tagra Raho.” Veterans shared their experiences with the younger officers, fostering intergenerational learning and inspiring the next generation of soldiers.
The program also celebrated the enduring bond between the regiment and its veterans, highlighting their contributions to national defense and the importance of remembering and respecting those who have served. This engagement strengthens the spirit of solidarity and commitment that defines the Assam Regiment.
