Assam Rifles aid underprivileged children in Nagaland

February 04, 2026 | BK News Service

Zunheboto, Feb 3: Assam Rifles recently conducted a humanitarian outreach programme at Mt Chingkhu Hostel in Tsutoho village, Zunheboto district, aimed at supporting underprivileged children and ensuring their basic needs are met.

During the initiative, personnel of Assam Rifles distributed nutritious food items along with essential daily commodities, including rice, pulses, cooking oil, hygiene products, and other necessities. The outreach was designed not only to address immediate requirements but also to promote overall well-being among the hostel residents.
The programme also provided an opportunity for the troops to engage directly with the children, offering encouragement, sharing moments of warmth, and fostering a sense of community and care. Officials said such initiatives are part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing efforts to strengthen bonds with local communities and contribute to social welfare in remote and underprivileged regions.
By combining material support with personal interaction, the programme aimed to uplift the spirits of the children while highlighting the role of security forces in humanitarian and community development activities.
