Guwahati, Mar 9: As part of Operation Sadbhavana, the Assam Rifles under Spear Corps organized a National Integration Tour to promote awareness, unity, and educational engagement among personnel and local communities. The tour included visits to key institutions in Guwahati, Assam, aimed at enhancing knowledge, fostering cultural understanding, and encouraging community interaction.

During the tour, the team had the honour of meeting Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, the Governor of Assam, at his official residence. The interaction focused on strengthening ties between the armed forces and local communities, promoting social harmony, and encouraging youth participation in educational and civic initiatives. The Governor lauded the Assam Rifles for their continued commitment to nation-building and operational excellence in challenging terrains.
The team also visited the Regional Science Centre, Guwahati, where they received exposure to advancements in science and technology. The visit included interactive sessions and demonstrations, providing insights into innovations, practical applications, and the role of technology in modern society. Officials highlighted that such exposure helps troops broaden their understanding of science, technology, and innovation, which are critical for operational readiness and modern defence strategies.
