Assam Rifles conducts community outreach in Manipur

Imphal,May 6: Assam Rifles organised a community outreach programme at Company Operating Base L Koireng on 05 May 2026, aimed at strengthening trust, cooperation, and goodwill between the force and local communities in the region.

The event brought together villagers from L Koireng and Thangjing Chiru, fostering a spirit of mutual understanding and collaboration. A total of 16 participants, including village elders, youth, and community leaders, took part in the interaction.
The programme provided an open platform for dialogue, where residents engaged constructively with Assam Rifles personnel on local issues and community welfare concerns in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
As part of the outreach initiative, basic medical assistance and health-related guidance were also provided to villagers, reinforcing the force’s commitment to community welfare alongside its security responsibilities.
The initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ continued efforts to build strong civil-military relations and contribute positively to the well-being and development of remote and sensitive areas in Manipur.
