Assam Rifles conducts cyber & career awareness for NCC cadets

June 30, 2026 | BK News Service

Churachandpur, June 29: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps conducted a motivational and cyber awareness session for 160 NCC girl cadets in Churachandpur district, focusing on career opportunities for women in the Armed Forces along with essential digital safety skills.

The programme aimed at inspiring young cadets to consider careers in the armed forces by highlighting various entry routes, training pathways, and leadership roles available to women in uniform services. Officials interacted with the cadets and encouraged them to pursue opportunities in defence and public service with discipline and confidence.
Alongside career guidance, the session placed strong emphasis on cyber awareness in view of rising incidents of online fraud and misuse of digital platforms. Cadets were briefed on safe internet practices, protection of personal data, identification of phishing attempts, and responsible use of social media.
The interactive session also included practical examples of cyber threats and preventive measures, helping participants understand how to safeguard themselves in an increasingly digital environment.
Officials said such initiatives are part of ongoing efforts to empower youth, particularly young women, by combining motivation with practical awareness on emerging security challenges. The cadets actively participated in the session and raised queries related to both defence careers and cyber safety.
The programme concluded with a call to the cadets to remain alert, informed, and disciplined citizens while contributing positively to society and nation-building.
