Dimapur, Mar 6: Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of AssamRifles, inaugurated a newly constructed Sainik Institute along with a modern Cook House at the Dimapur Sector, marking a major milestone in enhancing troop welfare and administrative infrastructure.

The Sainik Institute has been designed to offer soldiers a comfortable and well-equipped space for relaxation, recreation, and off-duty activities, supporting their overall well-being. It features modern amenities aimed at providing a safe and engaging environment for troops to unwind, pursue recreational activities, and strengthen camaraderie.
Alongside, the modern Cook House boasts upgraded kitchen facilities to ensure the hygienic, efficient, and timely preparation of nutritious meals, catering to the dietary and operational needs of personnel stationed in the sector. The facility reflects a commitment to improving living standards and ensuring logistical efficiency for operational readiness.
During the visit, Lt Gen Lakhera interacted with troops, commending their dedication, discipline, and professionalism. He highlighted that robust infrastructure and effective support systems are crucial for maintaining high morale, sustaining operational effectiveness, and ensuring troops remain mission-ready.
