Shillong, Sep 15: Director General Assam Rifles Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, released a coffee table book titled ‘The Unnamed’, authored by young mountaineer Bhukya Yashwanth Naik, at Headquarters DG Assam Rifles on September 14.

Bhukya Yashwanth Naik, who hails from Maripeda in Telangana, is known for his mountaineering achievements and became the youngest mountaineer to scale Mt Gorichen, one of the prominent peaks of the Northeast.
An avid mountaineer, Naik has scaled 14 peaks so far and continues to explore the region’s diverse landscapes and communities.
At present, Naik and his team are undertaking an expedition to explore and document the natural beauty, cultural diversity and people of Northeast India. Through their work, the team aims to highlight the region’s unique landscapes and rich heritage.
The release of ‘The Unnamed’ reflects the spirit of exploration and adventure while bringing greater attention to the lesser-known beauty and stories of the Northeast.
Lt Gen Lakhera and all ranks of Assam Rifles extended their best wishes to Naik and his team for their ongoing expedition and future mountaineering endeavours.
