
Imphal, Jan 9: The Assam Rifles organised a community outreach programme titled “A Day with Company Commander” at Gaidimjang Village in Noney District, Manipur, aimed at strengthening bonds with the local population and promoting mutual trust and understanding.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from around 150 students, along with teachers, parents and representatives of local Civil Society Organisations from the Khoupum Valley. The interactive programme provided a platform for open dialogue, allowing villagers, especially the youth, to engage directly with Assam Rifles personnel and gain insight into their role in ensuring security and supporting community development.
During the event, the Company Commander addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of education, discipline and unity in building a peaceful and progressive society.
