Kamjong, Sep 29: Assam Rifles organised an interaction programme, “A Day with Company Commander,” with village authorities at COB Kamtong in Kamjong district of Manipur on Tuesday, focusing on security, development and key community issues.

The interaction provided a platform for village representatives and Assam Rifles personnel to exchange views on matters affecting local communities and explore ways to strengthen cooperation at the grassroots level.
Discussions covered a range of issues, including security, education, healthcare, sanitation and local development. Participants shared their concerns and suggestions, while emphasis was laid on greater community participation in initiatives aimed at improving living conditions.
The programme also highlighted the importance of regular communication between security forces and village authorities in addressing local challenges and building mutual understanding.
Assam Rifles officials encouraged village representatives to remain actively engaged in development and welfare initiatives and assured them of continued support, within the force’s outreach framework, for activities benefiting local communities.
The interaction underscored the role of community participation in promoting inclusive development and strengthening coordination between security forces and residents in remote areas.
