
Imphal, Feb 9: Under the aegis of Spear Corps, Assam Rifles flagged off a 15-day National Integration Tour from Kakching District, Manipur, on 07 February 2026, reaffirming its commitment to fostering national unity and mutual understanding. The tour includes 29 participants drawn from Civil Society Organisations of Moirang, Pallel and nearby areas, accompanied by Assam Rifles personnel.
During the tour, the participants will travel to Ahmedabad, Delhi, Shillong and Dimapur, gaining first-hand exposure to India’s cultural diversity, historical legacy and developmental progress. The itinerary features visits to prominent historical landmarks, places of national importance and institutions that showcase the country’s rich heritage and modern achievements.
In addition to sightseeing, the tour provides opportunities for meaningful interactions with national leaders, officials and members of civil society, enabling participants to broaden their perspectives and deepen their understanding of governance, unity and nation-building. Such engagements are aimed at empowering civil society representatives to act as ambassadors of integration upon their return.
The National Integration Tour is a key initiative under Assam Rifles’ civic action programmes, designed to strengthen people-to-people connect and build enduring trust between the security forces and local communities.
