Feb 9: Under the aegis of Spear Corps, Assam Rifles has organized a vibrant Football Tournament at Aloyo village in Kamjong District, Manipur, from 07 to 09 February 2026 as part of Operation Sadbhavna. The initiative aims to promote peace, youth engagement, and community bonding through sports in this remote border region.

The tournament has brought together four energetic youth teams representing Aloyo, Chassad, Ningthi, and Bungpa villages. From the opening kickoff, the matches have been marked by high spirits, disciplined play, and healthy competition, reflecting the passion for football among the local youth.
Villagers from surrounding areas turned out in large numbers to cheer for their teams, creating a festive and encouraging atmosphere throughout the event. The presence of Assam Rifles personnel alongside the local community further strengthened mutual trust and cooperation, reinforcing the force’s commitment to holistic development and goodwill under Operation Sadbhavna.
