Assam Rifles greets no.1 Workshop on Raising Day

Shillong, Aug 8: Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General Assam Rifles, along with all ranks of the force, extended warm greetings and best wishes to the officers, personnel and families of No.1 Workshop, Assam Rifles, on the occasion of its Raising Day.

The occasion marked the proud legacy and dedicated service of the workshop, which has played an important role in maintaining the operational readiness of Assam Rifles through technical support, maintenance and repair capabilities.
In his message, the Director General conveyed his appreciation to the personnel of No.1 Workshop for their commitment, professionalism and technical excellence. He acknowledged the contribution of workshop personnel whose efforts ensure that operational formations remain adequately supported and mission-ready.
The Raising Day also provided an opportunity to recall the unit’s service contributions and the dedication of its personnel who work behind the scenes to sustain the force’s operational capabilities in challenging terrain and demanding conditions.
Assam Rifles formations operate across some of the most difficult and strategically important areas of the Northeast, where equipment reliability and timely technical support remain crucial to effective operations. Workshops and maintenance units therefore constitute an important component of the force’s overall preparedness.
