Kangpokpi, June 4: In continuation of its peace-building initiatives in Manipur, the Assam Rifles under Spear Corps conducted a Security Conference in Kangpokpi district aimed at strengthening coordination between security forces and local communities and reinforcing efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region.

The conference brought together village elders, community representatives, and local stakeholders, providing a platform for open dialogue on prevailing security concerns, misinformation challenges, and measures required to sustain communal harmony.
During the interaction, Assam Rifles officials assured participants of continued protection and proactive security support in the district. They emphasized the importance of community cooperation in maintaining law and order and urged locals to remain vigilant against misinformation and rumours that could disrupt peace.
Officials further encouraged villagers to rely only on verified and authentic sources of information and to promptly report any suspicious activity to the nearest security establishment. The village elders and local representatives, in response, expressed their appreciation for the consistent presence and support of the Assam Rifles in maintaining security in the area. They reaffirmed their trust in the force and pledged full cooperation in sustaining communal harmony and regional peace.
Participants also highlighted the importance of continued engagement between security forces and local communities to address concerns at the grassroots level and build lasting confidence among residents.
The Security Conference forms part of a broader outreach strategy by Assam Rifles under Spear Corps to strengthen civil-military relations and support peace-building efforts across Manipur through sustained dialogue and cooperation.
Officials reiterated that such engagements will continue in the future to ensure stability, mutual trust, and a secure environment for all communities in the region.
