
Srikona , June 14, 2026: Assam Rifles organised a voluntary blood donation camp at the Unit Hospital, Srikona Garrison, to mark World Blood Donor Day, reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and public health support.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from personnel of the Assam Rifles, with 43 volunteers coming forward to donate blood. The initiative aimed to support local healthcare needs while promoting awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation.
Medical teams ensured that all safety protocols were strictly followed during the donation process, with proper screening, supervision and post-donation care provided to all participants.
The event was attended by the Brigadier Medical, Spear Head Corps, who appreciated the efforts of the Srikona Battalion for organising the camp and encouraging a strong culture of service and humanitarian assistance within the force.
Officials said such initiatives not only help strengthen healthcare support systems in nearby regions but also foster closer civil-military relations by extending assistance to society in times of need.
