Assam Rifles holds family counselling session

Dimapur, Aug 4: The Assam Rifles organised a Rubaru counselling session for families in Dimapur district of Nagaland, focusing on emotional well-being and healthy family relationships.

Held under the theme "Mera Wajood, Suno Meri Awaaz," the programme brought together 31 families as part of the force's monthly welfare initiative aimed at strengthening resilience and mental well-being among its personnel and their families.
The session was conducted by Dr. Vandini Setia, a psychology counsellor, who delivered an interactive talk on "Managing Anger Without Guilt." She shared practical strategies to help participants understand emotions, manage anger constructively and foster healthier communication within families.
Participants were also encouraged to adopt positive coping mechanisms and emotional awareness to promote harmony in their personal lives.
Officials said the Rubaru programme is a regular initiative of the Assam Rifles designed to provide psychological support, encourage open dialogue and enhance the overall well-being of families associated with the force.
The Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the welfare, resilience and holistic development of its personnel and their families through such awareness and counselling programmes.
