Kohima, Oct 16: Assam Rifles organised multi-speciality medical camps across Nagaland from October 10 to 15, extending specialised healthcare services to people living in remote and underserved areas. The initiative aimed to improve access to medical care for communities facing challenges in reaching healthcare facilities, while promoting health awareness and timely medical consultation. A team of 14 doctors participated in the medical outreach, providing specialised expertise and gaining first-hand experience of the healthcare challenges faced by residents in remote locations. Following the conclusion of the camps, one of the medical teams interacted with the Inspector General, Assam Rifles (North), and officers at the headquarters. During the interaction, the doctors shared their field experiences, observations and challenges encountered while delivering healthcare services in difficult and remote areas. The interaction provided an opportunity to discuss the practical difficulties involved in medical outreach and reinforced the force’s commitment to improving healthcare access for local communities. Assam Rifles reiterated its resolve to serve the people of Nagaland with care and compassion through continued community engagement and humanitarian initiatives. The medical camps reflect the force’s efforts to supplement healthcare outreach in remote areas and strengthen its relationship with local residents through public welfare activities.
