Shillong, Oct 16: Assam Rifles conducted an Orientation Programme for newly posted officers at its Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles (HQ DGAR), Laitkor, Shillong. The initiative aimed to familiarize officers with the organisation’s structure, ethos, operational responsibilities, and welfare initiatives.

Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, addressed the officers, sharing his vision and guidance. He motivated them to uphold the proud traditions and values of the Force while serving in their respective formations and units.
The programme provided a platform for officers to understand the operational and administrative framework of Assam Rifles, equipping them with the knowledge and skills required for effective service. The session also emphasized the Force’s commitment to personnel welfare, ensuring that new officers are well-prepared to lead their teams efficiently.
