
Jalukie , July 2: Reinforcing its commitment to community healthcare and child welfare, the Assam Rifles, in coordination with the Health Department, organised a Pulse Polio Immunization Programme at Jalukie in Nagaland.
The immunisation drive benefited 61 children below the age of five, who were administered the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) as part of the nationwide effort to eradicate polio and protect children from the debilitating disease.
Alongside the vaccination campaign, medical personnel and health workers conducted awareness sessions for parents and guardians, highlighting the importance of timely immunisation and regular vaccination to safeguard children against preventable diseases.
