Assam Rifles holds Yoga sessions across Northeast

Dimapur , June 19: As part of the activities leading up to the International Day of Yoga 2026, Assam Rifles under Spear Corps organised specialised yoga sessions focused on stress management at Kiphire in Nagaland and Tamenglong in Manipur.

A total of around 200 personnel participated in the sessions with enthusiasm, practising a range of yogic asanas, breathing techniques, and guided meditation exercises under structured supervision.
The sessions were aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and stress relief among personnel deployed in operational and challenging environments. Trainers emphasised the importance of yoga in improving concentration, emotional stability, and overall resilience.
Officials highlighted that such initiatives not only contribute to individual health and wellness but also enhance operational readiness by helping personnel manage stress effectively in demanding conditions.
The programme also underscored the growing emphasis on holistic health practices within the force, encouraging regular incorporation of yoga into daily routines for better performance and well-being.
