Churachandpur, Sep 23: In a bid to strengthen the bond between the armed forces and local communities, Assam Rifles under Spear Corps hosted the impactful event 'A Day with Company Commander' at Veng, Churachandpur, Manipur on 20th September 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 45 students and 6 teachers of Rengkai Government School.

Designed to foster patriotism and awareness among the youth, the day featured a range of engaging activities including sports competitions, an interactive weapon display, and career guidance sessions. These activities aimed not only to inform but also to inspire students towards a future of national service, discipline, and teamwork.
The highlight of the event was a motivational session with the Company Commander, who encouraged students to dream big and contribute meaningfully to the nation. The officers also addressed queries regarding careers in the armed forces, the role of Assam Rifles in maintaining peace, and the importance of physical and mental fitness.
Teachers accompanying the students appreciated the initiative, calling it “a powerful platform for exposing young minds to real-world leadership and the spirit of service.” Many students expressed excitement about the opportunity to interact with soldiers and see military equipment up close for the first time.
The event is part of Assam Rifles’ continued outreach efforts to engage youth in remote areas, promote harmony, and build trust with the civilian population.
