Kangpokpi , Oct 2: The Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, organised an outreach programme titled ‘A Day with Company Commander’ in Kangpokpi district of Manipur, aimed at inspiring young minds, promoting discipline and strengthening military-civil relations.

The programme brought together students and teachers for a series of educational, motivational and community-oriented activities designed to encourage youth participation and character building.
As part of the initiative, participants took part in a tree plantation drive, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and community responsibility. A First Aid demonstration was also conducted to equip students with basic knowledge of emergency response and lifesaving techniques.
The students were further engaged through motivational career lectures on opportunities in the Armed Forces. The sessions provided them with insights into military careers, the values of discipline and leadership, and the importance of dedication and perseverance.
Friendly sports matches were also organised, providing an opportunity for students and security personnel to interact in an informal and positive environment while promoting teamwork, fitness and sportsmanship.
The initiative underscored the Assam Rifles’ continued focus on youth engagement and community outreach in the region. Such programmes seek to build confidence among young people, encourage constructive interaction with the security forces and strengthen bonds between local communities and the armed forces.
The event concluded with an emphasis on the role of youth in nation-building and the importance of education, discipline, service and community participation.
