
Jalukie, April 18: The Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps has dedicated two new infrastructure projects to St. Xavier’s College, Jalukie, under its civic action initiative Operation Sadbhavana, aimed at strengthening civil–military cooperation and supporting educational development in remote regions.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland Nand Kishore Yadav and Deputy Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang, who attended as chief guests and lauded the initiative for contributing to youth development and regional progress.
As part of the programme, the Assam Rifles also organised a Weapon and Equipment Display, showcasing various military assets and operational gear. The display attracted significant interest from students and faculty, offering them insight into the capabilities and functioning of the armed forces.
Officials stated that the projects under Assam Rifles and Operation Sadbhavana are designed to improve educational infrastructure while fostering trust and engagement between security forces and local communities.
Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the bond between the armed forces and civilians, particularly in educational institutions located in remote and underserved areas of Nagaland.
