Pailapool, May 23: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps organised a weapon and equipment display for NCC cadets at Pailapool, aiming to motivate youth towards a career in the Armed Forces.

The event showcased a range of modern weapons, communication systems, and operational equipment used by the Assam Rifles in diverse operational environments. Cadets were given an overview of the functionality and role of each system in field operations.
Personnel from Assam Rifles also interacted with the NCC cadets, explaining career opportunities in the armed forces and sharing insights into military life, discipline, training, and service ethos.
The session was designed to instil a sense of patriotism and encourage students to consider joining the defence forces, while also enhancing their understanding of national security roles and responsibilities.
Officials said such outreach programmes play a key role in connecting with youth in border and remote regions, helping build awareness and inspiring the next generation to serve the nation.
