KAMJONG, AUGUST 9: Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps organised an outreach programme, “A Day with Company Commander,” at Kangpat Khullen School in Manipur’s Kamjong district, engaging 35 students in an interactive session focused on education, discipline, physical fitness and leadership.

The initiative was aimed at providing students with an opportunity to interact closely with the Company Commander and gain insights into qualities that contribute to personal growth, responsible citizenship and effective leadership.
During the interaction, students discussed the importance of education and discipline in shaping their future. Emphasis was also laid on maintaining physical fitness, developing confidence and cultivating leadership qualities from an early age.
The programme encouraged students to ask questions and actively participate in discussions, creating an informal platform for interaction and learning. The engagement was designed to motivate young participants to develop a positive outlook, self-confidence and a strong sense of responsibility.
Assam Rifles personnel also highlighted the importance of perseverance, teamwork and character-building in overcoming challenges and achieving personal and professional goals.
The event formed part of the force’s continuing community outreach efforts in the region, aimed at strengthening engagement with local communities and encouraging youth participation in constructive activities.
The interaction was particularly significant for students in a remote area, providing them with exposure to experiences and perspectives beyond the conventional classroom environment.
The organisers said such initiatives help nurture confidence and leadership among young people while creating stronger bonds between security forces and local communities.
The programme concluded with students expressing enthusiasm over the interaction and the opportunity to learn about discipline, leadership and community service.
Through initiatives such as “A Day with Company Commander,” Assam Rifles continues to emphasise youth engagement and community partnership alongside its operational responsibilities in the Northeast.
