Assam Rifles inspires students through outreach

Imphal, July 19: The Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, organised 'A Day with Company Commander' for students at Azuiram and Khongsang in Manipur, providing young participants with an opportunity to interact with soldiers and gain valuable insights into discipline, leadership and the spirit of national service.

The outreach programme aimed to strengthen the bond between the armed forces and local communities while encouraging students to develop qualities such as patriotism, teamwork, confidence and creativity.
A series of sports competitions formed a key part of the programme, with students enthusiastically participating in various events that promoted physical fitness, healthy competition and team spirit. The activities also highlighted the importance of discipline and perseverance in achieving personal and professional goals.
To encourage creativity and self-expression, drawing competitions were organised, allowing students to showcase their artistic talent while conveying messages of peace, unity, national pride and community harmony.
The interactive sessions with Assam Rifles personnel emerged as the highlight of the programme. Students engaged in open discussions with soldiers, learning about life in the armed forces, the values of courage, dedication and selfless service, and the vital role played by the military in safeguarding the nation's security.
