
Imphal, Dec 13: The Assam Rifles, under the command of Spear Corps, flagged off the National Integration Tour on 12 December 2025, marking a significant initiative to promote cultural exchange and national unity among students from northeastern India. The tour commenced from Imphal and will conclude in Kolkata, covering key historical, educational, and cultural landmarks along the route.
Participating in the tour are students and teachers from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts of Manipur. Over the course of the journey, the group will visit prominent monuments, heritage sites, and educational institutions, gaining exposure to the rich cultural diversity and historical significance of the regions they travel through.
The tour also includes planned interactions with high-ranking dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal and the Eastern Army Commander. These engagements aim to inspire students, broaden their understanding of governance and defence, and instill a sense of national pride and responsibility.
