Noklak , April 28: Assam Rifles and Dao Division under Spear Corps commemorated the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor by organising essay writing and painting competitions at Mission Straightway School, Noklak, and Government High School, Bandarkhati.

The events brought together students from both schools in an engaging platform aimed at fostering creativity while instilling values of courage, patriotism, and national pride. The activities were conducted under the theme “India is my Beautiful Country,” encouraging young participants to express their understanding of the nation and its ideals through art and writing.
Officials said the initiative was designed to strengthen the bond between the youth and the Indian Army by promoting awareness about military values and national service. Students actively participated, showcasing their thoughts on bravery, unity, and the role of the armed forces in safeguarding the country.
Teachers and organisers appreciated the initiative, noting that such programmes help in shaping responsible citizens while inspiring students to connect with the ethos of discipline and service embodied by the Indian Army.
