Imphal , May 13: On the occasion of International Nurses Day, Assam Rifles under Spear Corps organised healthcare outreach activities in Rima Village in Arunachal Pradesh and Ukhrul in Manipur, reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and public health awareness in remote and underserved areas.

The initiative included medical screening camps, on-spot health consultations, and free distribution of essential medicines. These services collectively benefited more than 118 civilians, including women, children, and elderly residents from the surrounding areas.
Medical teams associated with the outreach conducted basic health check-ups, assessed common ailments, and provided guidance on preventive healthcare practices. Special focus was given to maternal and child health, seasonal illnesses, and hygiene awareness, with an emphasis on early detection and timely treatment.
