Lokra, April 22: The Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, commemorated the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor by organizing a series of awareness lectures for students across institutions in Assam and Manipur.
The programmes were conducted at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya and Assam Rifles High School in Lokra, Assam, as well as at Rayburn College in Churachandpur, Manipur. The initiative aimed to educate young minds about the significance of the operation while instilling a sense of respect and pride for the armed forces.
During the sessions, officers highlighted the courage, strategic excellence, and professionalism displayed by the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor. Students were briefed on the objectives and outcomes of the operation, with emphasis on the values of discipline, dedication, and national service.
Interactive discussions formed a key part of the programme, where students engaged with personnel, asked questions, and gained insights into the life and responsibilities of soldiers. The lectures also focused on motivating youth to contribute positively to society and consider careers in defence services.
Officials said the outreach reflects Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to nation-building beyond its operational role, by fostering awareness, education, and inspiration among the younger generation.
Students and faculty members appreciated the initiative, noting that such engagements not only enhance awareness but also strengthen the bond between the armed forces and civilians.
