Imphal/Dimapur, April 29: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps commemorated the first anniversary of OpSindoor by organising a series of youth engagement and educational programmes across Manipur and Nagaland, focusing on inspiring students towards nation-building and career development.
In Manipur, activities were held at Holenphai, Tengnoupal, and Ukhrul, where students participated in interactive sessions and poster-making competitions highlighting themes of patriotism, discipline, and national unity. Officers and personnel of Assam Rifles interacted with local youth, encouraging them to pursue education and constructive roles in society.
In Nagaland, educational and motivational programmes were conducted at Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Chizami in Phek district, and Sainik School Punglwa. The sessions included career guidance talks, motivational discussions, and awareness activities aimed at helping students explore opportunities in defence services and other professional fields.
Officials said the initiative was designed to strengthen the bond between security forces and local communities while channeling youth energy towards positive and productive directions. Students were also encouraged to participate in nation-building activities and develop leadership qualities.
Teachers and school authorities appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles, noting that such programmes provide valuable exposure to students, especially in remote and border regions where access to career guidance opportunities is limited.
Assam Rifles reiterated its commitment to continuing outreach initiatives under Spear Corps to promote education, youth empowerment, and community engagement across the Northeast region
