July 17, 2026 | BK News Service

Changlang (Arunachal Pradesh), July 16: Commemorating World Youth Skills Day, the Assam Rifles organised a Career Management Lecture at Khimyong Middle School in Changlang district to motivate students towards informed career planning, skill development and personal growth.

The programme aimed to create awareness among students about diverse career opportunities while highlighting the importance of acquiring professional skills to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving world.
During the interactive session, resource persons emphasised that education, discipline, dedication and continuous learning are the key pillars of a successful career. Students were encouraged to identify their strengths, set clear goals and make well-informed decisions about their future.
The lecture also familiarised students with career opportunities in the armed forces, civil services, technical professions, entrepreneurship and other emerging sectors, inspiring them to broaden their career aspirations.
Speakers stressed that skill development has become increasingly important in today's competitive environment and urged students to continuously upgrade their knowledge and abilities to remain relevant in a changing job market.
The participants actively interacted with the speakers, seeking guidance on educational pathways, career planning and the skills required for different professions.
Officials of the Assam Rifles said the initiative was organised as part of the force's ongoing commitment to youth empowerment through education, awareness and community outreach programmes.
They noted that by encouraging students to make informed career choices and invest in skill development, such programmes contribute to building a confident, capable and self-reliant generation.
The Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educational initiatives and inspiring young people across the Northeast to pursue their ambitions with confidence while contributing meaningfully to nation-building.
