
Imphal, July 8: Assam Rifles organised an interaction and security meeting with representatives of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and village authorities at Bungte Chiru village in Manipur to strengthen civil-military cooperation and enhance coordination with local stakeholders.
The meeting, held on July 6, brought together community leaders, village authorities and Assam Rifles officials to discuss issues related to security, public welfare and community participation in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
During the interaction, Assam Rifles officials highlighted the importance of close cooperation between security forces and local communities in addressing security concerns and ensuring a peaceful environment. They encouraged participants to maintain regular communication with the security forces and share information that could help preserve peace and public safety.
Representatives of the civil society organisations and village authorities also shared their views and local concerns, while appreciating the continued efforts of Assam Rifles in maintaining security and supporting developmental initiatives in the area.
Officials said the meeting served as a platform to build mutual trust, strengthen coordination and promote collaborative efforts for the overall welfare of the region.
