
Imphal, Feb 12: On 11 February 2026, the Changlang Battalion of AssamRifles conducted a motivational lecture on “Joining the Indian Armed Forces” for students at Rangfrah School in Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh. The outreach event aimed to inspire patriotism and encourage young minds to consider a future career in the nation’s defence services.
The session focused on introducing students to the wide range of opportunities available in the Indian Armed Forces, explaining the values, responsibilities, and commitments that come with military service. It emphasised key qualities such as discipline, teamwork, leadership, and selfless service, which distinguish military life and contribute to nation building.
Organised as part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing engagement with local communities in the Northeast, the lecture served not only as an informative talk but also as a platform to bolster national pride among the youth. Participants were sensitised to the significance of serving the nation and were provided insights into recruitment pathways, career prospects, and the honour associated with serving in the armed forces.
