Kohima, Sep 11: In a significant move to strengthen innovation and military-civil collaboration in emerging defence technologies, the Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps engaged with academia at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Chumoukedima in Nagaland to explore advancements in drone technology.

The interaction focused on fostering institutional synergy and encouraging innovation in unmanned aerial systems, with discussions centred on developing solutions suited to the challenging and diverse terrain of the Northeast.
During the engagement, Assam Rifles representatives interacted with academic experts and students and reviewed prototypes developed by students as part of their innovation and technology initiatives.
