Assam Rifles organises medical camp in Manipur

Thoubal, Jan 21: Assam Rifles, under Spear Corps, organized a comprehensive Medical and Dental Camp at Chandrakhong Village in Thoubal district, Manipur, on January 20, 2026, providing healthcare services to the local population.

A dedicated team of medical and dental professionals treated a total of 593 villagers, including 148 men, 300 women, and 145 children. The camp offered consultations, preventive health check-ups, and diagnostic tests, including haemoglobin assessment, blood pressure monitoring, and blood sugar screening.
Dental care services were also provided, addressing oral health concerns and educating villagers on hygiene practices. The initiative aimed to improve overall community health, raise awareness about preventive care, and ensure access to basic medical services in remote areas.
Villagers expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for the timely intervention, highlighting the positive impact of such outreach initiatives under the Armed Forces’ Civic Action Programme. The camp reflects Assam Rifles’ commitment to supporting local communities by promoting health, well-being, and public welfare.
