Guwahati, July 8: Assam Rifles organised a medical camp for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets participating in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)-38 at St. Xavier's School, Maibang, in Assam's Dima Hasao district, reaffirming its commitment to youth welfare and community outreach.
The camp, held on July 6, provided free medical check-ups, consultations and treatment to the participating cadets. Medical teams also distributed essential medicines and attended to minor ailments to ensure the health and well-being of the trainees during the camp.
In addition to healthcare services, Assam Rifles conducted an interactive health awareness session focusing on personal hygiene, balanced nutrition, sanitation, hydration, first aid and prevention of seasonal diseases. The session encouraged cadets to adopt healthy lifestyle practices and remain physically fit while participating in training activities.
Officials said the initiative was aimed at promoting health awareness, enhancing preparedness and ensuring that the cadets remained medically fit throughout the training programme.
Assam Rifles reiterated that such initiatives form an integral part of its commitment to nation-building by supporting the development of disciplined, healthy and responsible youth while continuing its community outreach efforts across the Northeast.
