In a passionate display of national unity, environmental stewardship, and spirit of adventure, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with noted young mountaineer Bhukya Yashwanth, successfully completed an trek to Mount Iso, the highest peak of Manipur, under the campaign ‘Har Shikhar Tiranga’.
The expedition commenced at 0200 AM on 4th May 2025 and culminated in unfurling the National Flag at the summit during a mesmerising sunrise.
The unfurling signified a new beginning for the region one of hope and common destiny.
A total of 77 participants, including Assam Rifles personnel, local youth, and amateurs hikers took part in the trek. The presence of Bhukya Yashwanth, a passionate mountaineer with aspirations to summit Mount Everest, was an inspiration to young participants to pursue their dreams..
In a special highlight, a Clean-Up Drive was conducted at the summit, reinforcing values of environmental responsibility and civic duty.
This initiative underlines Assam Rifles' commitment not only to national unity but also fostering social harmony, youth engagement and environmental awareness.
