Kohima, April 27: Assam Rifles paid solemn tribute to Rifleman (Late) Jaman Singh at the Unit War Memorial in Kohima, commemorating his supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in 1961.

The wreath-laying ceremony was conducted with full military honours, where Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and troops gathered to pay respect to the fallen soldier. Floral wreaths were laid at the memorial, followed by a moment of silence in remembrance of his service and sacrifice.
The ceremony reflected deep reverence for the courage and dedication displayed by Rifleman Jaman Singh, whose legacy continues to inspire generations within the Assam Rifles. Officials said such observances serve as a reminder of the enduring values of duty, honour, and sacrifice upheld by the force.
Assam Rifles reiterated its commitment to honouring all its martyrs, stating that the sacrifices of brave personnel remain the guiding force behind its operations and ethos.
