Tengnoupal, Oct 21: On October 20, 2025, 161 personnel of the Assam Rifles under Spear Corps paid homage to 47 brave soldiers who fought in the 1962 Indo-China War. The solemn ceremony at Tengnoupal included a wreath-laying and a Guard of Honour, commemorating the valour and sacrifice of these heroes who played a pivotal role in halting the Chinese advance.

The event served as a reminder of the courage and dedication of the armed forces personnel who defended the nation during one of its most challenging times. Assam Rifles officials highlighted the importance of remembering past sacrifices to inspire current and future generations of soldiers.
