Kishtwar, June 11: Assam Rifles organised a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Kishtwar in Jammu & Kashmir to pay homage to Braveheart Rifleman Binod Das, SM (Posthumous), of 7 Assam Rifles.
The ceremony was held to honour the supreme sacrifice made by the soldier in the line of duty at Jatigali on June 10, 1991, when the unit was deployed in Jammu & Kashmir.
Senior officers and personnel of Assam Rifles participated in the ceremony and paid floral tributes to the martyr, remembering his courage, dedication, and service to the nation.
The event was conducted with full military honours, reflecting deep respect and gratitude for the fallen soldier.
Officials said the ceremony reaffirmed the force’s continued commitment to honouring its martyrs and preserving their legacy of sacrifice and valour.
