Kohima, April 10:Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, along with all ranks, paid solemn tribute to a brave soldier who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on April 10, 1944.

The remembrance ceremony honoured the courage, dedication, and selfless service of the fallen soldier, whose sacrifice continues to inspire generations within the force.
Senior officials and personnel joined in saluting the martyr, reaffirming their respect for those who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
The tribute reflected Assam Rifles’ enduring tradition of honouring its heroes and preserving the legacy of valour and commitment to duty.
