Shillong, Sep 24: Director General Assam Rifles Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, along with all ranks of the force, paid tribute to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on September 24.

The Assam Rifles remembered the fallen personnel for their courage, dedication and selfless service to the nation. The force acknowledged the sacrifices made by its soldiers in the discharge of their duties and in the service of the country.
The tribute reaffirmed the Assam Rifles’ respect for the valour and commitment of its personnel who laid down their lives while performing their duties.
Lt Gen Lakhera and all ranks expressed solidarity with the families of the fallen soldiers, whose sacrifices continue to remain an enduring part of the force’s legacy.
The Assam Rifles reiterated that the courage and devotion to duty demonstrated by the martyrs continue to inspire serving personnel and future generations.
