Shillong, July 10: Director General of Assam Rifles, Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, along with all ranks of the force, paid solemn tribute to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on July 10.

In a heartfelt message, the Director General honoured the courage, dedication and selfless service of the fallen personnel, stating that their supreme sacrifice in safeguarding the nation will always be remembered with pride and gratitude.

The tribute highlighted the immense contribution of the fallen heroes in protecting the country's sovereignty, maintaining peace and security, and combating insurgency and other security challenges in the Northeast and other operational areas.
