Assam Rifles personnel donate blood in Shillong

Shillong, Sep 11: The Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Nazareth Hospital, Shillong, organised a voluntary blood donation camp on September 11, 2026, with 15 personnel voluntarily donating blood in support of public health and community welfare.

The camp at Nazareth Hospital witnessed the participation of Assam Rifles personnel, who came forward to contribute to the life-saving cause and set an example of service beyond their professional duties.
The initiative highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and the role of individuals and organisations in supporting healthcare services. The donated blood is expected to help patients requiring transfusion and emergency medical care.
The Assam Rifles said the initiative reflected its continued commitment to community welfare and social responsibility. The force has been undertaking various outreach and civic initiatives aimed at supporting communities across the Northeast.
The blood donation drive also reinforced the message that voluntary donation can make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families facing medical emergencies.
