Kiphire/Meluri, Sep 12: Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps has undertaken a series of medical assistance initiatives in remote areas of Nagaland, providing healthcare services and timely medical support to local communities.

Free medical camps were organised at Kiusam and Amahatore villages in Kiphire district, where residents received health screenings, medical consultations and essential medicines.
The camps were aimed at improving access to basic healthcare for people living in remote and underserved areas, where access to regular medical facilities can often be challenging. Medical personnel interacted with residents, conducted health assessments and provided necessary advice and medicines based on individual requirements.
In a separate initiative at Akhegwo in Meluri district, Assam Rifles personnel provided medical assistance to a one-year-old child who had sustained an accidental injury. Timely intervention ensured that the child received immediate medical attention.
The initiatives highlight the force's continued focus on community welfare alongside its operational responsibilities in the region.
