Kohima,, Mar 27: Assam Rifles facilitated the Assam Regiment’s Jessami Bike Expedition–2026 during its visit to Kohima on 26 March 2026, providing vital coordination and administrative support to ensure smooth execution of the event.

The expedition team visited the Assam Regiment War Memorial, where they paid tribute to fallen soldiers through a solemn wreath-laying ceremony, honoring the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives in service to the nation.
In addition, the team held an interactive session with 12 Ex-Servicemen, reinforcing connections with the veteran community, sharing experiences, and promoting the values of discipline, service, and patriotism.
Officials highlighted that such initiatives strengthen civil-military bonds, inspire youth, and preserve the rich legacy of the Assam Regiment. The expedition also served as a platform to celebrate regimental heritage, instill national pride, and honor the contributions of veterans in safeguarding the country.
