Assam Rifles supports Youth Morung prog in Nagaland

Kohima, June 6: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps extended assistance during the inaugural programme of Khiang Yam (Youth Morung) held at Pungro in Nagaland, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and youth development initiatives in the region.

The programme, organised with a focus on empowering young people, aimed at promoting leadership development, skill enhancement and encouraging active participation of youth in community-building activities.
The inaugural event brought together local youth, community leaders and stakeholders who highlighted the importance of structured platforms for mentoring and capacity building in remote areas.
Assam Rifles’ support to the initiative was aimed at strengthening outreach efforts and fostering closer engagement with local communities, particularly the younger generation, to help them develop skills relevant for education, employment and social responsibility.
Officials associated with the programme noted that such initiatives play an important role in guiding youth towards constructive pathways while strengthening community cohesion and development in the region.
